Development of soil phosphorus storage capacity for phosphorus retention/release assessment in neutral or alkaline soils

چکیده
The concept of the soil phosphorus storage capacity (SPSC) was successfully used to evaluate (P) loss risk and P retention acidic soil. This study extended SPSC from neutral or alkaline A total 95 surfaces (0-10 cm) samples were collected Yellow River Delta (YRD) for use in this study. Batch sorption experiments, correlation analysis, stepwise regression, a split-line model calculate threshold value degree saturation (DPS). developed based on DPS value. Based 11.5%, we following equation calculating SPSC: = (11.5% - DPS) Ă (0.113 SOM (soil organic matter) + 1.343 CaCO3). In continuous system watershed, wetland farmland, vegetable fields (-94.7 ± 79.1 mg/kg) lowest that restored (76.3 26.1 highest. Along transition zone YRD, both natural development human alternations significantly affected loss/retention capacity. terms storage, wetlands are highlands contribute YRD. Phosphorus speciation in manure-amended alkaline soils.
Two common manure storage practices are stockpiles and lagoons. The manure from stockpiles is applied to soils in solid form, while lagoon manure is applied as a liquid. Soil amendment with manure in any form introduces a significant amount of phosphorus (P) that exists in both organic and inorganic forms. However, little is known about P speciation in manure stored under different conditions, ...
متن کاملPhosphorus retention capacity in red ferralitic soil.
In this study the main physical-chemical characteristics of red ferralitic soil to use as substrate in subsurface wetlands was determined. The P-removal was evaluated in a short-term isotherm batch experiment and in a column percolation experiment. The acid characteristic and high content of iron minerals in the red ferralitic soil facilitated the phosphorus removal. Also the sorption isotherms...
متن کاملRelease potential of phosphorus in Florida sandy soils in relation to phosphorus fractions and adsorption capacity.
Information on P release potential in relation to labile P and P fractions in sandy soils is limited. In this study, P release potential was determined by leaching, and labile P, soil P fractionation, and P adsorption capacity were measured in the laboratory using 96 Florida sandy soil samples to evaluate the relationship between P release in water and soil P status. The sandy soils had a very ...

A study was initiated to investigate the relationship between soil test P and depth of soil sampling with runoff losses of dissolved molybdate reactive phosphorus (DMRP). Rainfall simulations were conducted on two noncalcareous soils, a Windthorst sandy loam (fine, mixed, thermic Udic Paleustalf) and a Blanket clay loam (fine, mixed, thermic Pachic Argiustoll), and two calcareous soils, a Purve...
